This piece’s inspiration is root from the Dr.No (James Bond) title sequence, which was designed by the very talented Maurice Binder. The title sequence is one of my all time favorite motion graphic pieces, and it was done almost entirely with circles and text. So based on that, I limited myself entirely to circles on this project. While researching other snow board designs out there, I saw some fantastic work, but noticed that the majority of them were really complicated designs, with a lot going on in them. So with this I really wanted to challenge that and create an equally interesting design, but maintain simplicity within it.

Here is a self portrait I have been working on for the last little while. This was done in the same program as my T shirt Design. (Adobe Illustrator) I am happy with the final result of this piece, overall it turned out better than I had expected, as I have relatively little experience with the program. With this piece I really wanted to do something different than your typical self portrait. Anyways I hope you enjoy it too!

Here is a recent project I have been working on. I wanted to replicated a very specific style in the image that I have been a big fan of as of late. In addition I wanted the circle to be a central design characteristic. I haven’t decided yet if I am going to get it printed, but I am very happy with the final result. It is what I was trying to do with this piece.

In an exploration into the history of design, Sara and I created this poster which mimicking the work of the Russian constructivism movement from the early 1900’s, leading up to the death of the royal family. We took the the ideas and motivations behind there posters and created this one dealing with a modern subject.

The goal with this piece was to experiment with type in a real world environment. We (Sara as well as myself) wanted to create a image that reflected digital imagery, but was not in any way. This piece is a comment on the current state in the design industry, where people seem to be forgetting you can create your work off the computer as well.

The font in the image is a real font designed to be the perfect digital font in the early computer days, but it never took off. The word is “digital”.
