so term 4 has begun, and i have some work to showcase on here and some work to do on this blog site. i intend to change it so it shows less posts on the first page and play around with the visual style a lot more.
also i’m going to start talknig about my grad project and my term 4 motion project, the music video. should be good.
finally, i’m finished this project. and i’m quite proud of it. now, it’s not perfect, if i had more time, i would prolly tinker with some things more and play around and what not. but it’s end of term, and i have things to do for other classes also.
thoguh this took a few days worth of rendering to get it right. i think it took a total of about 6 renders to get it right, each render lasting over 6 hours…well, if it was able to finish. but alas, here it is:
ok, so after that last render i decided to tweak the pyro to be more coneical(sp?). i also decided to make a back row of pyro but more of a short blast effect…well, these happen after the strobing session. you’ll note that when there’s not supposed to be lights on for some reason there’s a bit of a glow. the lights seem to have decided to take on a negative integer between “0″ keyframes, so that needs to be worked on.
well, yesterday i went to school to get some extra work done and found that the work i had done last week was not saved unfortunately, so i redid that, correcting the stray light from before. mind you, with the opportunity to redo it, i made a change. instead of going through all 6 rows in the same style as blue, i made the last set of lights instead of going by the whole two rows, i set them to red and had them light two at a time for 5 frames in the same animation leading up to pyro being set off. for the pyro, i used particle emitters and placed them on the two middle upper truss beams and the 8 truss sticks on the stage floor. tomorow in class i intend to work on the 3d text aspect, and tweak the pyro more. i set the render before i left so i’ll get to see how the pyro looks so far.
anyhow, first thing i do tomorow will be to upload the video to youtube and post it here. cheers.
ah-ha, uploaded. the pyro didn’t turn out as i want, so i’ll have to tweak that.
so i had 3d last night and did a bit more work. i changed the lighting style, and i had the lower truss lights animated from the week before. after coordinating the lights some more i rendered it out to find that the police lights rotate too fast and one of the truss lights is off it’s swing. so i intend to adjust those. also, i learned in class how to do particles and intend to use that to make pyro type effects for the next one
